Day Four Giveaway Question

Every day the Helping Hudson team will be asking you to comment on a question.
At the end of each day a winner will be selected randomly to receive a small prize of Stampin' Up! Australia products.
This may include things such as ribbon, ink pads or rub ons.
You must include your name in the comment to be eligible for the prize.
Entries will close at midnight and the winner will be announced at noon tomorrow.
Entry is free, but the winner will only have 48 hours to claim their prize.
Unclaimed prizes will be given away in a random draw of all entrants on the 25th.

Today's question is:
Where is your favourite place to craft?

We look forward to reading your answer, and please remember to come back tomorrow
for the next question and to find out who won.

As per Stampin' Up! Australia rules, only Australian residents are eligible for prizes.

While we cannot ship prizes overseas, any daily giveaway winners outside Australia have the option of nominating an Australian resident to donate their prize to. :-)

  2. I have a tiny secretariat desk that I use (and several chairs that act as tables next to me) ... but .... I have my eyes on our study when hubby finishes his degree in October - I'm gonna kick him out and have my very own craft room whoo hoo .... might need to help with the eviction part though :)

  3. I used to do my craft on the dining table, then my husband bought me a L shape office desk and put it in his huge office next to his. Has lots of space and compartments, he put a rail so I can hang some craft punhes and ribbons. So that way I get to do two things at the same time, spend time with my husband but also my craft.

  4. I loved the dining room table, however I've been banned from it, so when we got this house I found myself a room which I'm still in the process of setting up... but the dining room table will ALWAYS be my favourite...

  5. If I could have my way, in front of the TV - the way I used to before I moved. For some reason, the TV motivates me - I find it harder in my craft room but I do love to crank up some music and create-away!

  6. I am very lucky to have my own designed-from-scratch craft room, thanks to a little extension on our house a couple of years ago. I'd happily move my bed in there (without hubby, of course)!! It is my haven, and I like to craft in total silence - can't concentrate with music on. Is that strange?? :)

  7. In our home office. It is a room with no windows and just one door. I love it as I have now idea when I am crafting what is happening in the world outside. Even when the weather is not so pleasant I wouldn't know.

  8. I love my spareroom all set up for craft and computer.Hubby wants another baby but can't give up the spareroom and will have to if we have another as the rooms aren't big enough for kids to share... I told him he needs to buy a bigger house if we have another...Just can't give up the CRAFTROOM!!!

  9. My craft space is where the dining room should be, its all open plan so I kicked the dining table out and took over, I am slowly filling the space with tables, tessels, draws (even bubba's change table lives there now -makes a great bigshot workstation) I love to crank up the ipod and get absorbed in what I am making.

(and yes Christine that is very strange!!! lol)

  10. I have my very own craft room with everything at reach, but I prefer the old days of crafting in the middle of everything at the dining table, tv on in background...I do listen to music while I craft.

  11. At my craft desk with all my supplies within easy reach, especially my SU supplies. My laptop on for blog surfing and inspiration in front of me and sometimes my iPod on for musical ambience. The only downer about it is that it is a walkway area between some rooms in the house. However, it is "MY" space and where you will find me when I can grab some ME time!

  12. I have a craft room but it is not necessarily my favourite place. My favourite place is just crafting with friends so this can be anywhere

  13. I know most of you will recognize these words.
I started with a plastic box.....then I decided that I could rearrange the linen into the blanket boxes and have the linen press for my goodies.
We now don't have a spare bedroom because its become my studio.I am very, very lucky to have my own space to "play" in.I just love it.Mess, paper, music and all!!!!

  14. We sectioned off a part of the family room so that I have my own little 'play zone'. :) The kids refer to it as 'Mummy's room'!

  15. My favourite place is my craft desk when it is all tidy and spiffy. Have to confess though it usually looks like a bomb has hit it, and on those days the dining table becomes rather inviting!

  16. I would love to say my favourite place is Christine Blains Craft room. But I have only crafted there once lol (I am soooo jealous). When I am with friends or have classes, it is my dining room / craft room. When I am by myself I have a lap desk that I use in front of the TV watching NCIS (mmmmm Gibbs)

  17. I have taken over the study in our house - good thing everyone has a laptop so they can study elsewhere! I have a childproof lock on the door to keep out the little munchkins though! Nothing better than hiding in there with the ipod on crafting away.

  18. At home for card making I love my craft room - which used to be the family lounge room! I have everything within reach and great views of the garden. But this year I went away with friends to a lovely place called Sewjourn http://www.sewjourn.net.au/
and the craft room there is to die for!!!! Warm, cosy, spacious, well lit - I'd like to live in that craft room.

  19. I have the luxury of a craft space at the moment, but when we move into the new house I'll have a purpose built cupboard/workstation. It's also the study... well, that's what hubby thinks it's going to be... lol

  20. Kristine T you are going to LAUGH at this one you read my mind.. I started to think about my answer before I started scrolling through everyones comments.. And then I read Kris comment. Uncanny!
I currently have a tie in my fave places to craft.. One being my couch and the other Christine Blains craft room! As Rob the cat and I are in a one bedder it doesnt leave me a lot of room so my favourite place quickly came to be one the couch, telly on in the background big heap of paper and materials on the coffee table. Of course this gets messy and totally unorganised which is where Chris room becomes heaven. Peaceful, clean (and lots of chatter of course).
After yesterday though I think Chris craft room became the favourite. There I was sitting on the couch WATCHING NCIS, I am more of a Dinozzo fan.. when my craft knife decided to cut my finger (and nail) completely in two leaving me with crafting war wound and the urge to not craft on my lap again anytime soon!

  21. My favorite craft room is my garage!! it has been converted in to my very own stamping room and classroom - it has carpet and a feature wall and my wonderful husband even got me a heater so that it is nice and warm in there. I love it!

  22. I have my own room too in a spare bedroom. Sadly part of my craft stuff is packed awaiting our move back to Australia. :-)

  23. i have an converted sunroom that has been set up for "mummy's craft space", its just the way i like it (lots of space, sunshine and nice and cool)and the best thing is the big window that looks into our loungeroom and boys bedroom so i can keep my eye on them while i play..love it

  24. i have taken over half of my hubby's cave of computers mwahahahahahaha and am slowly covering it with pretty paper stuff in the vain hope that he will run away to his shed with his toys and leave me in peace

  25. My favourite place to craft is in the bedroom. There is simply no room elsewhere at the moment! I can leave unfinished projects on a table and not worry about the clutter.

  26. I love using anyone elses craft space to create in as i get inspired by all their things and even though i get a lot less done it's more social and nicer than my pile of stuff stashed in boxes awaiting me to unpack & sort them!!!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Dining table - it means i can't leave my stuff out overnight etc as we need the table to eat on, but it's a lovely large space i can fill when I am in the middle of a big project, and it's really close to the kitchen for drinks/snacks!!!!

  28. I have my very own craft room with an awesome desk but prefer to craft on my coffee table with my laptop next to me and the tv on! Its called multi-tasking! At least this is what I tell me huband ;D

  29. I have a desk in my bedroom for crafting, which is nice. It used to be a combination of my uni work desk, computer desk and craft... but now i have a desk just for paper craft!

  30. The Trestle table which at the moment is also the - kids craft table, the computer room, the jigsaw table and the dining table lol with NCIS on and sleeping kids it's almost heaven.

  31. Lucky me...an empty nest now that our 3 children are all married...so I have my own craft room. It is badly in need of a paint and a refurbish but it is my own little space to escape to and create!

  32. Well, I do have a craft room/office but mostly I stamp on the floor in my lounge room as I have a huge amount of room there, but sometimes my back and neck don't like it if I am there for quite a while.

  33. In my crafting room of course! (Read: the spare room that is 90% taken over by my stuff. My poor husband gets a little desk in the corner) :)

  34. I have made my sons room my dedicated craft room since he and his sisters have flown the nest. It is becoming very full with cupboards in every space possible and my workstation.

  35. My DH moved all his modelling bits and pieces into the garage when I signed up as a SU demo last year, to give me my own craftroom.

  36. I have a room just for me, but i actually prefer to craft now in amongst the family, i have started dragging my stuff out to the dining table so i can be amongst other humans. Hmm, wonder if I should move into the dining area LOL.

  37. I thought about setting up in the spare room but that took me away from the family, and I didn't really like the idea of being back there on my own. For a while I used the dining room table, but again not ideal. So a trip to the shed, some theft from my husband (some hammer lock shelves and an old door) a rummage through my scrap material (to make the shelves look less like hammer lock shelves), and I have wedged myself into the lounge room between the lounges and the computers at the other end (our lounge is about 9m long!) so quite squeezed in but love being around the family while I craft.

  38. We have recently built a house and we already have plans to extend which will include a massive craft room for me but in the mean time I have taken over one of the bedrooms and turned it into my craft room. My daughters seem happy enough to share a room (they are nearly 5 and nearly 3) so I will enjoy it while it lasts!!

  39. I used to have a small roll top desk which was located in our bedroom - good to shut work in progress up from little fingers - but all too soon I started to expand into the bedroom space too much and re-arranged the kids so I could get my own small craft room - should have done the expansion thing sooner lol...

  40. My favorite place to scrap at the moment is on my coffee table, although I am finding I dont have enough space, currently thinking of alternative spaces

    ReplyDelete
  41. the dinning table is the only bit of space that is not coverd with kids toys, but am planning on building soon and have the 'craft corner' all planned the the very large open living area, so looking foward to that.....

    ReplyDelete
  42. I am lucky enough to have an office come craft space in our current house. It is just off the living area so am still part of everything and can have the TV/radio on if I want

  43. I usually clear off a space at the end of the families kitchen table but my favourite place to craft and create is my lovely PIC's craft space. It is lovely and spacious and she is great company with miles of inspiration out of her windows and in her creations :-)

  44. Well I do have a craft desk space in the spare room with Hubbys computers (darling nerd he is!)however I like to spread my stuff out so ususally end up on the dining table or setting up a spare table in the family room!!! Maybe I should just rearrange my craft space, seeing my darling Dad got me the desk, shich has a light, drawers, cupboard and shelves. Oh well Imaybe hopeless but surely I am lovable?!

  45. I used to use the kitchen table so my husband kindly built a room on the back of the house for my very own craft room. I have everything at my fingertips and love my special room. I do have to share it with kids as a family room.

    ReplyDelete
  46. At my craft desk, of course! I really feel like a fish out of water without all my supplies close at hand - too many to travel with!
