Every day the Helping Hudson team will be asking you to comment on a question.
At the end of each day a winner will be selected randomly to receive a small prize of Stampin' Up! Australia products.
This may include things such as ribbon, ink pads or rub ons.
You must include your name in the comment to be eligible for the prize.
Entries will close at midnight and the winner will be announced at noon tomorrow.
Entry is free, but the winner will only have 48 hours to claim their prize.
Unclaimed prizes will be given away in a random draw of all entrants on the 25th.
Today's question is:
Do you like crafting with the TV/radio/IPod on or nothing?
We look forward to reading your answer, and please remember to come back tomorrow
for the next question and to find out who won.
As per Stampin' Up! Australia rules, only Australian residents are eligible for prizes.
While we cannot ship prizes overseas, any daily giveaway winners outside Australia have the option of nominating an Australian resident to donate their prize to. :-)
I'd like to have something on but would probably get distracted or inspired and just go off on to some other project.
ReplyDeleteI have to have music going... I can't work in a silent room - I feel like I get nothing done.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't matter- I go off into "the zone" Lol!!
ReplyDeleteI don't have any music in my craft room yet! You've just reminded me that I need to do something about that!
ReplyDeleteI have file on my PC that is named crafting music, so whenever Kris and I get crafting at my place we have our little selection already picked.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely NO music! I like to craft in complete silence, unless of course I'm stamping with friends - then there's heaps more talking than stamping going on.
ReplyDeleteI like to craft in silence. :-) No music, no tv, just me and my thoughts :-)
ReplyDeleteI often have TV on while I am crafting because I have my desk set up in the lounge room! But I do tend to get into a zone and ignore what's on, much to the frustration of my family when I get them to go back or explain the bits I have missed. If I am not in the zone its distacting!
ReplyDeleteI need the ipod - but once I get crafting I don't overly notice it
ReplyDeleteI often craft in silence wishing there was a tv in my craft room. Other times I have my ipod going with all my old 70's music as background company.
ReplyDeleteIlike a musicalbackground whilI am crafting
ReplyDeleteAnne Wakefield
When i set up my room i put a small tv, and my ipod in there, they never get used, I prefer to craft in complete silence.
ReplyDeleteI have my ipod all set to go but don't often remember to turn it on!
ReplyDeleteI usually have ipod on if I can't hear my daughters from her room! Or the silence is often nice too.

ReplyDeleteI have my iphone and I have a selection from the eighties as well as spanish music. Keeps me entertained will I do cards.
ReplyDeleteI craft at the kitchen table so the tv is usually on in the lounge room where my daughter has her toys.
ReplyDeleteTV for sure, I don't watch it but I listen along.
ReplyDeleteI have noise in the background....usually TV or Music - but it's generally in the other room. Except if the ladies are here....then we are talking and laughing. Chantell
ReplyDeleteDepends on the time of day. When my son is having his day sleep then the radio is on in the other room...when he is awake and happy and I get a chance to sneek away then it is kids shows on TV.
ReplyDeleteI like to have complete silence when I am working in my craft room because I work in a noisey retail office enviroment and I like peace to concentrate on my crafts..
ReplyDeleteLynn :)
I like silence... well I have noisy birds outside all the time... but no music, no tv, just me and my thoughts!
ReplyDeleteI usually craft in silence but I always find myself singing while I craft, it's my happy time. But recently it's been whatever has been on that day, ie. The Wiggles, Postman Pat theme song, That horrible "What About Me" AAMI commercial, etc lol. So I think having the radio on is a good thing to mask my horrible singing voice and the fact that I'm singing childrens songs!
ReplyDeleteI don't have a craft room - my kit is all piled up in a corner in the family room. So when I am creating it all gets dragged out and the tv is on in the background or the noise of a 5 adult household!!
ReplyDeleteSometimes I like the silence of my farm and sometimes I like a nice Christian CD on in the background.
ReplyDeleteJeane McQueen
I usually craft with Triple J on in the background, or my computer playing my play list...
ReplyDeleteI like the silence. :)
ReplyDeleteI like silence, but the reality is there is normally TV background noise in the house
ReplyDeleteI really don't mind and like to mix it up, sometimes its quiet thinking time, other times its groove while I stamp, or my fellas motorsport in the background....who cares as long as we can craft!
ReplyDeleteSometimes I start with music on but I don't even realise when it finishes as I get absorbed in what I am doing.
ReplyDeleteMary
I like to have my ipod playing in the background, also in classes cause it fills the silence when everyone is working.
ReplyDeleteTelly is always on in the background.. If its too quiet I end up talking to myself and the cat and then I just get distracted!
ReplyDeleteI have the noise of 4 kids around, and I find that too much more noise is distracting. I even struggle to talk to people while I craft, as I can't focus very well... Probably a pregnant brain!
ReplyDeletedefinitely the TV or itunes. Crafting in silence is too boring for me!
ReplyDeleteI definitely prefer crafting in silence. My craft room is my retreat for peace & tranquility which can't be found anywhere else in the house ... so the less noise the better :)
ReplyDeleteI like crafting with either the tv or music on
ReplyDeletenothing...i sometimes put the ipod on but it distracts me
ReplyDeleteTV is too distracting, mostly like the quiet, depending on my mood, if it's in the evening and I'm having a wine or two then I will often play music. So a bit of everything.
ReplyDeleteMy craft room is right next to the living area in our house so usually the TV is on. But I do like to have some noise around so it doesn't worry me!!
ReplyDeleteWhen I scrap I usually have the radio on, but as I live alone I normally have noise in the background somewhere either music, radio or tv.
ReplyDeleteI tend to make cards in front of the tv, which could explain why it takes me so long to finish them. I actually get more distracted if it's too quiet and end up wandering off to do something else. -Lynda M
ReplyDeleteI love listening to music whilst crafting
ReplyDeleteDiana
No noise for me, except for my brain cranking over with ideas!! I'm in a world of my own, such an escape.
ReplyDeleteLisa H
I love listening to music or the TV while I create, I also like peace and quite.
ReplyDeleteWell i craft at the dinning room table and tend to have the tv on... esp late at night so the house isnt so quiet
ReplyDeleteI don't mind one way or the other, I usually just block everything out anyway.
ReplyDeleteSilence - peace and quiet and craft, what fun!!!
ReplyDeleteGlenda K
Sometimes I have the radio or CD on depending what mood I'm in and what time of the night it is!
ReplyDeleteI have C.D's playing if in the mood for company.I like to choose the music I work to.It can be a quiet Enya to Jeff Beck who certainly makes my paper cutter go faster LOL
ReplyDeleteI prefer silence so that I can focus on craft and enjoy it completely !!
ReplyDeleteI work with silence...so when I have a conversation with myself I don't lose my train thought, as I create!!! lol
ReplyDeleteIPhone!!! With sia playing. Yay!
ReplyDeleteI create with the telly on... Don't really watch it but like to have some background noise!!
ReplyDeleteI like to have music on or watch/listen to the TV.
ReplyDeleteI craft on the coffee table with laptop next to me and the tv on in front of me. Multitasking at its finest!!
ReplyDeleteMy comment is exactly the same as Lisa J, but it has to be when the kids are in bed.
ReplyDeleteI like to have a movie on/TV/Radio/Music - I'm not fussy! :)
ReplyDeleteI've always loved background noise whilst crafting (or even when I used to be doing my homework much to my parent's disgust!), but alas there's no music in my room at the moment :(
ReplyDeleteSo the solution is easy when i'm home alone, i crank up the stereo! :)
