Day Two Giveaway Question

Every day the Helping Hudson team will be asking you to comment on a question.
At the end of each day a winner will be selected randomly to receive a small prize of Stampin' Up! Australia products.
This may include things such as ribbon, ink pads or rub ons.
You must include your name in the comment to be eligible for the prize.
Entries will close at midnight and the winner will be announced at noon tomorrow.
Entry is free, but the winner will only have 48 hours to claim their prize.
Unclaimed prizes will be given away in a random draw of all entrants on the 25th.

Today's question is:
What is your favourite thing to eat or drink while crafting?

We look forward to reading your answer, and please remember to come back tomorrow
for the next question and to find out who won.
Sorry, as per Stampin' Up! Australia rules, only Australian residents are eligible for prizes.

UPDATE:
We've had clarification that while we cannot ship prizes overseas, any daily giveaway winners outside Australia have the option of nominating an Australian resident to donate their prize to. :-)

  1. My favorite thing to drink while crafting is either coffee or water. I drink both when I craft, and I have to be very careful NOT to spill them.. LOL

  2. I like to have a cup of coffee or tea while I am doing my hobbies of sewing or scrapbooking. Will be looking to try the stamping as it looks very interesting!

  3. I must have a can of Pepsi Max beside me and something sweet to munch on... however those sweet things need to be stain free... don't want to mark the creations.

  4. Coffee..... is there any other kind of drink? Usually I forget about it so it goes cold, but hey, I can always make another!

  5. Can't go past chocolate in any way, shape or form, lol. I tend to get up for a drink as I am a bit paranoid about spills. :)

  6. LOL - If it's midnight munchies it's potato chips and pepsi for me!

  7. I usually don't eat when I craft but will drink coffee. I'm often too busy crafting, so getting tea organised for the family may not be as well planned as the card I'm working on!! Here's a poem which I've changed the title to -'Crafting Woman's Kitchen Prayer'-

Thank you, Lord, for mealtime help ...
    Spaghetti sauce in jars,
Pre-mixed casseroles in boxes, breakfast squares and bars,
    For instant pudding and potatoes,
    Gravies, soups and teas,
For frozen meals ... especially those with fewer calories,
And, Lord, when there's no time to cook
    To still those hunger pains,
Thank you for the miracle of all those fast-food chains!!

    LOL ;)

  8. A cup of hot tea served with Clinkers. No craft night would be the same without Clinkers!! Heaven help us if the local supermarket stops selling Clinkers. And by the way, pink is my favourite!!

  9. It has to be the age old coffee. Or maybe a cup of milo. No sweets for me generally, but a dip with some crackers can sometimes be found close by.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Ooh Carolyn, love the idea of hot tea and Clinkers - will have to go get some when I do the school run. Go the green!!!!

Actually I usually forget to eat when I'm crafting. If I get started on something before breakfast I'm in trouble!

    ReplyDelete
  11. I ALWAYS have a can of coke on my desk. Tend not to stop for food, unless it's chocolate :o)

  12. Ooh Bronwyn - loved your poem!! So true. And have a big craving for clinkers now too!

I'm a coffee girl. At classes I have those chocolate eclair lollies out and I swear I usually eat half the bowl myself.

  13. I stick to water or green tea when I'm crafting. (At least green tea doesn't taste too bad when it's gone cold)! Any thing sweet usually does the trick to keep the energy levels up! :)

Hey Carolyn & Genna, we would have awesome crafting nights - I like the yellow clinkers best! (& HOT tea sounds divine!)

  14. My husband comes into the craftroom and looks through all my draws and then if he can't find any chocolate or lollies he goes down town and buys me some, what a sweet man, he knows me so well LOL...to drink it is usually water, water, water too hot in the Northern Territory for me to drink tea or coffee, if late at night the water is usually in the form of ice with irish whiskey and pepsi, LOL!!!

    Cheers Katie

  15. When I'm crafting on my own, I definitely need a HOT cup of tea nearby (don't trust myself to not get food on the card, though, so I don't eat). At the monthly stamp nights I go to, not much stamping gets done on my behalf, but I devour plenty of coffee and chocolate!
Bron, I love your poem - oh, so true!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Most definately a cup of tea and chocolate!!! lol. My adorable Son bought me a bar of chocolate yesterday when he went out which was very sweet of him. It keeps the energy levels up whilst we keep those creative juices flowing!!! :-)

    ReplyDelete
  17. I don't eat much while I'm crafting for fear of messy fingers but I always manage to take a chocolate break somehow.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Ice coffee (commercially bought) - saves time on boiling the kettle (which would take away from valuable crafting time)!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  19. My cat seems to think that crafting time is all about him... I learnt the hard way that if there are food and drink anywhere near my crafting space it will get knocked over so I always give myself tea and celery/peanutbutter breaks!!

    ReplyDelete
  20. I don't eat either!! I get so absorbed in crafting - food?? What food? Although I have to admit a good glass of red wine goes down very nice and get some creative juices going too!! (maybe thats why some things are crooked on my cards??!!)

    ReplyDelete
  21. Diet Coke and chocolate - I like to think that one balances out the other!!! The odd packet of Allens lollies is always handy as well. Margaret

    ReplyDelete
  22. Ooooh, I'm getting very hugry reading all these answers. bron, I love your poem - very true!!! I love to eat peanut m & m's. My hubby hates nuts so I get the whole bag to myself!!!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Usually have a bowl of lollies in the middle of the table which dont get touched much as we are too busy making things but coffee is a must.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I love my rooibos tea and have several cups during a crafting session. I also like to have rice crackers to much on when I get peckish.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I have my water bottle (prevents spill risk rather than a cuppa) and some sort of sugar in the form of jelly lollies or chocolate...........

    ReplyDelete

  30. I kid myself that if I'm crafting I can't eat - keeps my hands clean and busy! Always have a coffee. I have two favourite mugs - one green for chilling and inspiration and one red for super fast deadline work! Neither help much but the coffee does!

    ReplyDelete
  31. A good cup of tea with some choccies always goes down a treat!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Coffee if I am crafting at night and its a bit cold or a glass of red wine. But food is a must and Allen's Freckles are my fav, but really any chocolate is good.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I try to avoid eating while crafting or I end up with messy fingers - I know if you hold chocolate in your fingers long enough for it to get messy you are doing it wrong!

I usually have tea or coffee, usually supplied by darling husband, and usually cold! I often forget to drink my drink, so when he comes to ask if I would like another, I have to skull down the first one cold (don't really mind cold tea or coffee, just got used to it over the years). I was the same with asignment writing!

ps thanks for chosing me yesterday - I don't expect to be picked again but like playing along.

  34. I have an endless supply of Coke while I am crafting. Although I have learnt from experience to make sure that it is in a bottle not a glass, so I don't have any little or should I say big spills. And depending on how much time I have to craft I usually don't nibble on anything. Except if I am at all day workshops or my absolute favourite weekend retreats, then I make the effort to take a break and actually eat.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I love a cup of herbal tea and a chocolate or two!

    Lisa

    ReplyDelete
  36. It's definitely diet coke and chocolate for me :) Any type as long as I can pop it in my mouth quick without getting mess on my hands or my artwork. It is usually a bowl of M&M Mix Ups, Crispy M&M's or chocolate peanuts ;)

    ReplyDelete
  37. Liptons Quietly Camomile or T2's Spi Chai tea for me ... but on the weekend it's a glass of wine ... and yes Kylie too much of a good thing and I too get the odd crooked line LOL

    ReplyDelete
  38. I am a truly spoiled woman!!!!!

My darling husband delivers my cups of hot water to me at my desk.
Boring drink for some but who complains when delivered with a beautiful smile.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Hmm I normally have my water bottle handy, but cups are dangerous as I usually end up putting paper scraps in them by mistake! As for eating - I tend to stick to jelly type lollies - snakes alive or the natural confectionary jelly beans!

  52. A big mug of tea and a Scotch Finger shortbread biscuit...broken in half so the calories leak out and it becomes a non-fattening snack!

    ReplyDelete
  53. I most definately need to have a COFFEE!!! But because I get too involved in my project, it goes cold. Maybe one day I will be able to drink it while its still warm!!!

    ReplyDelete
  54. A good ol' cup of tea when I'm crafting alone and Allen's Snakes Alive & Peanut M&Ms for classes with my 'stamping ladies' as my girls like to call them :)

I may have to try out some of the other answers on here though... I had never thought to let the calories out of the Scotch Fingers by breaking them in half first - thanks Christine ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  62. There is usually a bottle of coke on my computer desk (lid firmly on) but on the craft table....no way, one too busy and the other what would I yell if it went over my craft work (I won't answer that one). Marls

  63. Hi
I like a good strong cup of tea and my hubby usually makes tea for me and my friends when we craft together. Lollies and chocolates like M & M's are always good to have on the table, however sometimes I actually don't eat them too busy!!!! (I know poor chocs NEED to be eaten - lol) Thanks Michelle Steen
